Joint Effort is completely self-funded – we do not accept any government funding on principal. Our funding priority is providing Pen Packs and Out Packs for those who request them. We also are involved in doing other projects that support community building with ex-prisoners and allies such as the table reading project of the play Happy Place and the Food For Thought project. Every year Joint Effort is also involved in Prisoner Justice Day organizing and we do whatever mutual aid that arises within the Joint Effort ex-prisoner community.
